Terms and Conditions for Deep Cleaning Highbury

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of deep cleaning and related services by Deep Cleaning Highbury to residential and commercial customers. By booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which form a binding agreement between you and Deep Cleaning Highbury.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Service means any cleaning or related service provided by Deep Cleaning Highbury, including but not limited to deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, one-off cleans, and associated tasks.

Customer means any individual, company, or organisation that books or receives Services from Deep Cleaning Highbury.

Premises means the property or site at which the Services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract between the Customer and Deep Cleaning Highbury incorporating these Terms and Conditions and any confirmed booking details.

2. Scope of Services

Deep Cleaning Highbury provides deep cleaning and related services in designated areas within the United Kingdom. The specific scope of Services for each booking will be confirmed at the time of booking and may include detailed cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, and other requested areas, as well as optional add-on services where agreed.

The Services do not include tasks that involve working at unsafe heights, heavy lifting beyond safe manual handling limits, specialist cleaning of hazardous substances, or any task that in the reasonable opinion of Deep Cleaning Highbury may present a risk to health, safety, or property.

3. Booking Process

Bookings may be made by the Customer through the contact methods advertised by Deep Cleaning Highbury. At the time of booking, the Customer must provide accurate information about the Premises, required Services, access arrangements, and any specific instructions or priorities.

All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until Deep Cleaning Highbury has provided explicit confirmation, which may include the agreed date, time window, estimated duration, and price or pricing basis. Deep Cleaning Highbury reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that any information supplied during the booking process is complete and accurate. If the information provided is incorrect or incomplete, Deep Cleaning Highbury may adjust the quoted price, alter the scope of the Services, or cancel the booking with reasonable notice.

4. Access to the Premises

The Customer must ensure that the Premises are accessible at the agreed time. This may involve the Customer being present to grant access or arranging key collection or other access methods agreed in advance.

If the Customer fails to provide access at the agreed time, Deep Cleaning Highbury may, at its discretion, wait for a reasonable period or treat the visit as a late cancellation. In such cases, a cancellation or call-out charge may apply as set out in these Terms and Conditions.

The Customer must ensure that any alarm systems, security devices, or access codes are suitably configured or communicated in advance so that the Service can be carried out without unnecessary delay. Deep Cleaning Highbury will take reasonable care when using any keys or codes entrusted to it but accepts no responsibility for any pre-existing defects in locks, doors, or security systems.

5. Customer Obligations

The Customer agrees to:

Provide a safe and suitable working environment, including running water, electricity, adequate lighting, and ventilation.

Ensure that fragile, valuable, or irreplaceable items are safely stored or clearly identified prior to the Service.

Inform Deep Cleaning Highbury in advance of any particular risks, sensitivities, or special requirements at the Premises, such as delicate surfaces, known defects, or restricted areas.

Ensure that children, pets, and other occupants do not interfere with the performance of the Service or compromise health and safety.

6. Pricing and Quotations

Prices for Services may be provided as fixed quotations or estimates based on the information supplied by the Customer. Quotations are valid for a limited period as advised by Deep Cleaning Highbury and may be revised if the Customer changes the scope of the Service or if the information originally supplied proves to be inaccurate.

Where pricing is based on an hourly rate, the final charge will be calculated according to the actual time spent on the Service, subject to any minimum booking period. Any additional work requested on the day that falls outside the original agreement may incur further charges, which will be communicated and agreed where reasonably possible.

7. Payments

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. Deep Cleaning Highbury may require payment in advance, a deposit, or payment on completion of the Service, depending on the nature and size of the booking.

Accepted payment methods will be those notified to the Customer, which may include card payments, bank transfers, or other non-cash methods. Where payment is due on completion of the Service, the Customer must ensure that payment is made promptly and in full.

For account customers or commercial clients with agreed credit terms, invoices shall be payable within the specified period set out on the invoice. Deep Cleaning Highbury reserves the right to charge interest and reasonable administrative costs on overdue amounts, calculated from the due date until payment is received in full.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by providing notice within the timeframe notified by Deep Cleaning Highbury at the time of booking. Where sufficient notice is given, no cancellation fee will normally apply.

If the Customer cancels or reschedules a booking with insufficient notice, fails to provide access to the Premises at the agreed time, or otherwise prevents the Service from being carried out, Deep Cleaning Highbury may charge a cancellation fee or call-out charge. The amount of such charge will be based on the time reserved for the booking, any non-refundable costs incurred, and the inability to allocate the slot to another customer.

Deep Cleaning Highbury reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a Service in the event of staff illness, severe weather, operational issues, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, the Customer will be offered an alternative appointment or, where appropriate, a refund of any sums paid for Services not carried out. Deep Cleaning Highbury will not be liable for any consequential loss arising from such cancellations.

9. Quality of Service and Complaints

Deep Cleaning Highbury aims to provide services with reasonable care and skill. The Customer should inspect the Premises as soon as reasonably practicable after completion of the Service. If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Service, they must notify Deep Cleaning Highbury as soon as possible, giving clear details of the issue.

Where a complaint is justified and directly relates to the quality of the Service provided, Deep Cleaning Highbury may, at its discretion, offer a re-clean of the affected areas or another appropriate remedy. Any such remedy will be limited to the value of the Service originally provided to the relevant areas and will not extend to consequential or indirect losses.

10. Customer Property and Fragile Items

While reasonable care will be taken during the Service, the Customer is responsible for removing or securing small, fragile, or high-value items. Deep Cleaning Highbury will not be liable for damage to items that are inherently fragile, poorly maintained, incorrectly installed, or not suitable for standard cleaning processes.

The Customer must inform Deep Cleaning Highbury of any surfaces, finishes, or items that require special cleaning methods or products. In the absence of such information, Deep Cleaning Highbury will use products and techniques that are reasonably appropriate for general deep cleaning work and will not be liable for damage arising from unknown sensitivities.

11. Liability and Limitations

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to the preceding paragraph, Deep Cleaning Highbury shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or loss of enjoyment.

The total aggregate liability of Deep Cleaning Highbury arising out of or in connection with any Service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount paid or payable by the Customer for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

Deep Cleaning Highbury shall not be responsible for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, defects in materials or workmanship, or issues that could not reasonably have been detected by ordinary visual inspection prior to or during the Service.

12. Health, Safety, and Environmental Considerations

Deep Cleaning Highbury is committed to operating in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Its staff are instructed to follow appropriate health and safety procedures when using cleaning products, equipment, and tools.

The Customer must inform Deep Cleaning Highbury of any known hazards at the Premises, including structural issues, exposed wiring, damp, infestations, or the presence of hazardous materials. Deep Cleaning Highbury may suspend or terminate the Service if it considers that continuing would pose an unacceptable risk.

13. Waste Handling and Regulations

Deep Cleaning Highbury will handle routine household and commercial waste arising directly from the Service in accordance with applicable UK waste regulations. This may include bagging and placing waste in the Customer's designated bins or waste storage area, subject to local collection rules and available capacity.

Deep Cleaning Highbury does not generally provide licensed removal of large volumes of waste, construction debris, hazardous waste, or items requiring specialist disposal. Where such materials are present, the Customer is responsible for arranging compliant removal through an authorised waste carrier or specialist contractor.

The Customer must ensure that any instructions given to Deep Cleaning Highbury in relation to waste disposal are consistent with local authority regulations and UK environmental laws. Deep Cleaning Highbury reserves the right to decline to remove or handle any waste it reasonably believes to be hazardous, unlawful, or inappropriate for its staff to manage.

14. Insurance

Deep Cleaning Highbury maintains insurance policies appropriate for its business operations, including public liability cover, subject to policy terms, conditions, and exclusions. Evidence of insurance may be provided on reasonable request.

The Customer is responsible for maintaining appropriate buildings and contents insurance for the Premises and any items within it and should notify their insurer that cleaning services are being carried out at the property if required under the terms of their policy.

15. Force Majeure

Deep Cleaning Highbury shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such delay or failure is due to events beyond its reasonable control. Such events may include, but are not limited to, extreme weather, flooding, fire, strikes, industrial disputes, power failures, transport disruptions, pandemics, or acts of government.

In such circumstances, Deep Cleaning Highbury may suspend the Service for the duration of the event or, where necessary, cancel the booking and offer to reschedule when reasonably possible.

16. Privacy and Confidentiality

Deep Cleaning Highbury respects the privacy of its Customers and will only collect and use personal information to the extent necessary to manage bookings, deliver Services, handle payments, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Any personal information provided by the Customer will be handled securely and in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws. Staff are instructed to treat all Customer information and observations made during the course of the Service as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law.

17. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

Deep Cleaning Highbury may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulation, or business practices. The latest version will apply to new bookings from the date it is made available.

For ongoing or recurring services, Deep Cleaning Highbury will notify the Customer of any material changes to these Terms and Conditions. Continued use of the Services after such notification will be deemed acceptance of the updated terms.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services provided by Deep Cleaning Highbury.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, lawful, and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision shall be deemed deleted, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any confirmed booking details and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and Deep Cleaning Highbury in relation to the provision of Services. The Customer acknowledges that they have not relied on any statement, promise, or representation made or given by or on behalf of Deep Cleaning Highbury that is not set out in this Agreement.
